1. Using this website

By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website. The website is provided for people seeking information about Vela Legal and its services.

2. Information is not legal advice

Website content is general information only and is not legal advice. You should obtain advice based on your circumstances before acting or deciding not to act.

3. Bookings and engagement

Consultations are paid, with current fees and available times shown through Calendly. Payment for a paid consultation is completed within the Calendly booking process. A booking does not by itself create a solicitor-client relationship. Legal work starts only after the required conflict check and separate agreement on scope, costs and engagement terms.

4. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise indicated, the website design, branding and content belong to Vela Legal or are used with permission. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. You must not reproduce, republish or adapt substantial content without permission.

5. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the website, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code or use the website in a way that breaches applicable law.

6. Availability and external services

Vela Legal may update, suspend or withdraw website content at any time. External websites and services, including Calendly, are operated by third parties and are subject to their own terms.

7. Responsibility for use

To the extent permitted by law, Vela Legal does not accept responsibility for loss arising from reliance on general website content or from the availability of an external service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. The terms may be updated from time to time, and the current version will be published on this page.
